Nestled within the grounds of Kirknewton Estate, just 25 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, Kirknewton House Stables offers an exclusive and private setting for weddings and special celebrations.
The Estate has been home to the same family for generations, and over 17 years ago the former Stables, overlooking the walled garden, were carefully restored to create the unique venue you see today. Combining historic character with modern comfort, the Stables have become a much-loved setting for weddings, private events, and special occasions.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of welcoming many wonderful couples to celebrate their wedding day here. We are delighted to share this special corner of the Estate, along with its beautiful gardens and grounds, and look forward to helping create a memorable setting for your celebration.
The venue...
The Stables building has double doors opening out onto an expansive walled garden with an ‘avenue’ of cherry trees leading to the rest of the landscaped gardens. This is an ideal area for a drinks reception, for music, fun and games during the day and into the evening. The large picture windows of the Stables flood the main room with light. In the evening the natural stone walls retain their warmth with candles and gentle spot lights.
Kirknewton House Stables are ideal for wedding parties for between 80-110 people. This can be increased up to 140 people with a marquee attached. The Stables venue can also be used for small intimate or corporate events.
