Getting Here
Visiting the Stables is easy and we’re only 25 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, only 15 minutes from Edinburgh airport and 45 minutes from Glasgow. Please follow the instructions below and simply enter ‘Kirknewton House Stables’ in Google maps. However, if you are using satellite navigation and the postcode, please be warned that most of them will take you 400 yards beyond the entrance.

Location/Directions
From Edinburgh City Centre – Take the Dalry/Gorgie Road to Sighthill. Follow the A71 signposted Kilmarnock until you get to Wilkieston. Pass through Wilkieston and continue on the A71 until you reach a signpost on your left for Kirknewton and the B7031. Follow the B7031 over the level crossing and you should pass the Kirk and the School on your right. Do not take the left turn into Kirknewton village itself but carry on up the hill. The entrance to Kirknewton House Stables is the first turning on the left opposite the West Lodge.
From the West on M8 – Coming from Glasgow on the M8 turn off at Junction 3 and take the A899 to Livingston. At Lizzie Brice’s roundabout take the 2nd exit for the A71 and Edinburgh. After about 2 miles, at the traffic lights, turn right to Kirknewton on the B7031. Go over the level crossing and leave the Kirk and school on your right. Do not take the left turn into Kirknewton village itself but carry on up the hill. The entrance to Kirknewton House Stables is the first turning on the left opposite the West Lodge.
